Hi,

Just wondering if there is a way to switch off night mode completely regardless of lighting conditions.

i have the night mode setting switched off on my Arlo Q, but at night the camera thinks there is not enough light (even though I think that there is as there are street lights outside and can see clearly on the live feed) and automatically switches itself to what I assume is night mode (B&W) which is rather annoying!

many thanks.

Night mode (B&W) is built into the camera with no way to control it other than by changing light levels. If you add your own external lights it will remain in color as long as you exceed the threshold set.

Thanks for the quick response.

Is it possible for this to be fixed in a future firmware update? It seems rather silly for the camera to auto switch into night mode based on lighting conditions over that of the users instruction to having it switched off.

The only switch is for the IR illuminators. While it may be possible for an update to add that feature, I don't know if it's that simple.
