I've got two Arlo cameras pointing at the front of my house which, more often than not, fail to record events taking place right in front of them. This afternoon, I I turned my 2 tonne VW camper around on the driveway. Having just checked the cameras, the van has miraculously turned around without being captured on camera.

Just how big a vehicle would I need for Arlo to be able to detect the motion? I'm thinking maybe a Sherman tank?

In all seriousness, does anyone have contact information for someone at Netgear who I can complain to about this system? I'm pretty sure that it's being mis-sold and sure as hell isn't usable as a security solution. In all honesty, I'd like my money back.

coldcuppatea,

There are many variables to factor in when trying to find the best conditions for your Arlo cameras. Take a look at this article that outlines best practices for motion detection: Optimizing motion detection performance on Arlo Wire-Free cameras
