Push to talk causes iOS app to crash

I have iphone 5s ( iOS 7.2) , when I press talk icon on the app, the whole app turn off ( phone turns to home screen screen) .

The easiest thing to do at this point is un-install and re- install the app just to cover the bases,

I have tried to delete the app and reinstall several of times , it doesn't fix the problem , as soon as I press the talk icon ( mic) , the app shutdown and phone turns to its home screen. Plus it does work perfectly on my other iphone 6 plus iOS 8.2

Sound like an update to the IOS may be needed... Sorry, but that's all I have... ( running ios 9.x here )
