Very disappointing product, advertised and sold as compatible with Kindle, IT IS NOT! Customer service ridiculously bad.

Up until recently it was compatable with the Kindle Fire ( g1) as I ran it myself... just in the last month or so a change in the sw has buggered it.
Last time I checked, the app was saying ' not connected to the internet' tho all was really functional
Morse is faster than texting!

May be an OS version issue. Older OSes will get dropped off as time/versions march on. You may be able to run a custom ROM after rooting to accomplish this - try cyanogenmod.org. They list 5 different models of the Kindle.
