They are well within range of the main board. The camera farthest away works fine. I have re-synced both cameras and that did not help. I am about to return them to Best Buy. Any recommendations?

I have similar problem, one of my four camera won't turn on the motion detection green icon. They all work OK for live view.

I'll be watching this thread for replies and suggestions.

Consider checking the rules for the affected cameras to make sure motion is active(settings->base station->rules).  Power cycle the camera by opening/closing the battery compartment door, take note of the camera LED and resync if necessary. If after following these troubleshooting steps you're still having an issue, consider a factory reset of the base station as a last step. Let us know if this helps!

Thanks James for your quick reply

I still have the problem can't get the fourth camera to detect motion. I already tryed disconnect and reconnect the bat.

However I noticed that in the Base Settings under All Motion On > it lists only 3 cameras. the camera in question is not listed.

how can I add the fourth camera?  Do I delete the rule? and try again/ or use the add  + edit ? it's a little unlear on how to include the camera to the list of motion detection rule.

I returned the 2 cameras to Best Buy and got 1 new one. I put in the batteries and synced it. It appears to be working fine and the record on motion is working.

I am not sure at this piont that the other camerras were defective. Some of the preceding comments about Settings - Modes may have been the issue.

Now I can't get the old cameras off my home screen, so if you know how please let me know. Thank you, MimT

k2gic,

You would need to create a rule for the fourth camera under Settings > Rules > Add. Once you've created a rule for the fourth camera, simply go back to Modes > All Motion On and make sure that the fourth rule has a green checkmark.

Hello mimt,

In order to remove the old cameras from your home screen, you would need to remove them from the Camera Order. To navigate to the Camera Order settings, simply go to Settings > Camera Order > Click on the X near the name of the camera(s) you would like to remove. Don't forget to click on Save after removing your camera(s).

It does not list the fouth camera after I add it to the rule. The "all motion on" always lists 3 cams, no matter what i do. However I can monitor from all 4 cameras.

I got the hind from "mint" . This morning I returned the camera to Best Buy, They were very nice, they exchanged the camera, no problem. I went home sync the camera to the Base Station and problem was solved. The motion icon appeared.  (the little green man).

Now I have to delete the old camera that shows "offline" just like Mint situation. That should be easy..

Thank you all.

I returned the two cameras and exchanged one for a new camera that is working properly.

In the Settings section, in addition to Rules and right above Rules there is a Module option. It can be set separately for each camera. In retrospect, that may have been the problem. I am still not sure.
