How to I remove a mode that I accidentally drag-and-dropped onto the schedule?

On the 'Mode tab', in the Schedule view, I accidently drag-and-dropped a mode onto the schedule. I can adjust the start and end times of the accidental mode, but how do I remove just that one drop from the schedule, so that I can replace it with a different mode?
I don't see a "delete button" anywhere on that page.
Other tricks like right click, double click, dragging the black bar so the mode's time-slot is as small as possible, don't work either.

You don't say what OP system your on.... so
In IOS, tap the scheduled area, a box pops up, change the top camera line to ALL OFF ( or other mode you want ), hit done.
In PC drag the new mode on top of the old and then adjust time by dragging top/bottom lines, or to delete just drag time line ( top/bottom ) to the nearby mode of ALL OFF( or similar named )

I'm using Chrome 42 on Mac OS X Yosemite.
Unfortunately, the delete solution doesn't work. If I click the time line (top or bottom) there is no cursor option to drag left/right to a nearby mode. Dragging up/down changes the period of the mode, but I'm unable to drag left/right. Can you provide more detail, as it seems this is the solution that would be what I am looking for.
What works some the time is dragging a new mode on top of the old, and then adjusting time by dragging top/bottom lines. When I do this, the time boxes split in two, and if I then drag the top time bar of the lower (later) mode up over the upper (earlier) mode, it didn't work, as it leaves the first 10 minutes. Actually, playing with this over and over, sometimes I actually can get it to go all the way to the top and clear the first mode. Seems a little touchy.
Feature request would be a simplier UI: like the ability to drag a mode to a trashcan, or right clicking on a mode and getting an option to delete, etc.

via a browser, you said chrome, I just tested Chrome on a Pc....
I dragged the new mode over the old and then slid the top or bottom time line up to delete the old mode.... there is no side to side dragging
worked ok ... like you said could be better ( I actually like the apple method )
