For those with FitBit watches (specifically maybe the Fitbit Charge and Charge HR) I think you might enjoy this. There's a great application (BitTicker) that sends notifications to your FitBit watch. The Vibration of the watch gets my attention a lot more than the phone.

Now when a camera is triggered the Push notification goes to my phone, which then vibrates my watch with the displayed message of which camera was tripped. Pretty cool.
FYI: I also use it to notify me of WhatsApp messages, and Phone calls.
FYI2: I am unrelated to the app developer.

Good point. Many smartwatches have the Push Notication as a built-in feature.
Fitbit Charge/HR is not a smartwatch per se, more of a pedometer, so this feature is only available via an add-on app by a third party.
Either way, I find the vibration on the wrist something more likely to grab my attention than the phone alarm in my pocket. If you have that feature available to you on any watch, I'd say give it a shot for Arlo notifications.
