Does my arlo system record motion sensored footage even if my internet connection has gone down?

I've had my system for several weeks now. The last few days my internet has been dropping out. Does the motion sensor footage still capture to the base station or does the whole system rely on an Internet connection? Reason I ask is I got home and usually the motion sensor captures footage but when got inside my internet connection had dropped out again and there's was no footage in my library. If the whole system relies on internet connectivity to work as much as the wireless cameras are convenient it seems pointless if it can't capture footage if my home connection drops out.

The Arlo system NEEDS the internet connection to work....

The exception is the new Q + camera which does contain a mem card for this outages.

It's also spelled out in the specs that Internet is required. This's an issue for your ISP.

Are their going to be new cameras with 1080 and sound?

The Q cameras have 1080p and sound but are indoors only.  Who knows about wireless?  I kinda doubt it for battery life reasons.
