Can I disable motion detection on my patio when I'm home?

I've been trying to understand the options available to me before I purchase this system.  I've read about rules, modes, geofencing, etc.

Not sure which option or combination thereof would work best.

Question:  I would like to disable motion detection for the camera on my patio when I'm home and enable it when I leave.

Is this easily done?   Can I do this from my iPhone before I leave the house or will geofencing do it for me?

Can this be automated??

Geofencing should do what you want. When I leave my house I get a notification that arlo is in away mode and when I return I get an alert saying it is in home mode.  I set up a geofencing rule that arms my 2 outside cameras when I leave home.
