Android app 2.2.0 doesn't remember login after logout

Just noticed the latest Android app (2.2.0) has no Remember Me checkbox. If I logout, the username is there but the password isn't so I have to enter it. It's fine in a browser. Reinstalling the app doesn't help.

Don't see a problem on LG phone/ android 4.4.2 

 

But then I don't log out either...just hit home button to exit, next time the login screen comes up and passes thru same with no entry
