ARLO camera batteries die too fast. It detects trees blowing and snow, but not the neighbor damaging my fence. I'm very mad about this. I have 7 cameras and am constantly buying batteries. I've tried different settings, but I still get the branches blowing and snow blowing. I've had the system since summer and still have not found a way to make it work. Please help.

Have you tried lowering the sensitivity of the motion sensors in your rules, repositioned and/or reoriented your cameras to avoid moving shrubbery causing false alerts?

It could also help to see some sample still shots to allow forum members to assess your positioning of your cameras and give more pointed advice.

I'm wondering whether or not your sole purpose for purchasing the system was to monitor property damage. I'm also wondering whether or not your neighbor works, if so, perhaps you can shut the cameras off, while he or she is at work.

Should I also find out when my neighbor is planing to damage my property so I can schedule the camera to record? The point is for this to record when you are not expecting things to happen.

Like I said before, bad neighbors stink. I'm sorry about your damaged fence.
As far as your battery "issue"...
I've thought about purchasing a power supply, and popping a hole into the camera's battery compartment to accommodate an entrance for the power supply's +/- wires to be "jury-rigged" to the cameras battery terminals. Of course, I would then, "water-proof" the hole.

Your "simple solution" to the battery problem is not only ironic considering the sole purpose of purchsing this system is for the so called wireless capability, but it is only simple if you are a complete nerd with an electronics major and handyman skills or if your last name is MacGyver, at which point you would have to question why you didnt buy a professional surveillance system instead.

Yes, i confess, I do possess degrees, one of which, does happen to be in Electronics
Technology. In answer to your question, I did consider it; but, I'm a renter, so, I'm kind of restricted from making modifications to the multi-family building. Plus, my battery set up worked fine for three months, and being that I anticipated that they would eventually discharge- I found a good deal on Amazon for some replacements. Nevertheless, It doesn't really require an "Electronics degree," I could teach a child how it all works- but that's just me.
(Not that you'd care, but my neighbor had his car broken into , a few times, but unlike your neighbor, I'm just trying to help my neighbor- I thought that is what being a good community's member is all about.
If being unafraid to work with basic hand tools, and if having a working knowledge of how a flashlight works defines me as a nerd to you, so be it.

Tenergy makes a rechargeable battery. It's sold on Amazon and fits great.

My cameras never catch anything moving that isn't alive. I thought the camera uses heat sensors instead of pixel movement.

Depends on which cameras you're using.  The wireless ones use a whole scene passive IR detector while the Q uses a pixel-based detection system.
