My Arlo camera (Wire Free, 5 cameras) caught a kid doing the "Ring the doorbell and run away" prank. I didn't open the door as Arlo already showed me what was happening. They did not come back, it's not much fun if people do not answer the door 🙂

Good catch...
tho in your shot, I'd move the camera from the door to the brick column if able ( or a little further out, tree? )
As you know with the slight delay to record start you get his back, if it faces the door, he triggers it coming in and then starts so you have a better chance of capturing face
Morse is faster than texting!

I would agree with you, unfortunately there isn't a way to have the camera face my door as there is a sidewalk right in front of my door and nothing where I can mount the camera on:
In fact this works quite well. I catch almost everyone with their faces, unless they are little like this kid 🙂

Mounting it on the trunk of the pine tree with a green silicone skin would be really stealthy, though possibly problematic on windy days.
