The OEM (Energizer) batteries lasted 6 month in mild temperatures in Indianapolis. I replaced (3) sets of batteries (Tenergy) on December 25, 2015 and two weeks later all three are reporting low batteries. What is the Netgear recommended brand of CR123 battery?

Firmware version: 2.0.0.724_11294

Arlo Wire-Free cameras have been designed for use with non-rechargeable batteries. For the best possible experience, we strongly recommend using the non-rechargeable batteries supplied with your Arlo Wire-Free cameras, or non-rechargeable batteries from other high quality, established well-known manufacturers such as Panasonic®, Energizer®, or Duracell®.[1]

I have had my cameras since August of 2015 and I am about to replace the batteries for the third time.

This is getting expensive!!

I suspect that the use of the infrared lights contributes significantly to the power consumption.

I am going to try out one set of rechargables using a brand recommended by a local camera shop.  I am also investigating installing stand-alone infrared flood lights/emitters.

At this time, I won't be recommending the product to anyone until I have tested both rechargable batteries and infrared emitters.

Just replaced the last of my four cameras batteries after 6 months.

OM batteries were Energizer and I have replaced them like for like.

Two cameras lasted 5 months.

One camera lasted 3 months (high useage focused on entrance door)

Buy name brand in bulk. Best Buy has <Panasonic - CR123 Batteries (12-Pack) - Gold> for $25.99 verse $5 or more for single pack or $10 for a double pack. No shipping charge if ship to store for pickup.

As an addition to my comments above, I will say that I checked the voltage on the replacements.

One was low and the supplier replaced it.

If comments are made on the life of batteries, it is important to know their voltage state on fitment.

Yes...the 123 cells should be 3.2v when new
