I have been researching various WiFi cameras and am leaning towards the Arlo but I have a few questions:
1) Can you set the motion sensitivity per camera or is it for all cameras?
2) Can you schedule (time of day) the motion detection per camera or for all?
3) What happens to the cloud recording if Netgear drops this product? (It may not be an issue if they use a 3rd party for storage)
4) Has anyone heard of an AC conversion in the works for these cameras? (Maybe 3rd party) (Something to replace with batteries with an AC plug) (If not, time for the independent engineers to design one)
5) Can you view live feeds of the cameras from your Mac desktop?
OK, that's what I have now. Thanks in advance for your replies.

1) Per Camera
2) Schedule Sets ALL Cameras, Not Individual
3) Local storage of recordings are not currently supported. If they discontinue the product I assume they will have to continue to support the cloud until a point.
Only they can answer that
4) Nothing is available to run a cam via AC power
5) Yes, up to 4 streams at once

2) You can set the schedule for single cameras or for whatever cameras are set up in a rule.. You should be able to create a rule with only specific cameras rather than all and then schedule that rule. It's not totally flexible but you likely can set up something that works for you. Perhaps if you gave a sample scenario we can suggest how to do this.

1) Can you set the motion sensitivity per camera or is it for all cameras?
= You could set the motion sensitivity up to 100% by rule definition per camera. Check this link below:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Knowledge-Base/What-are-rules-amp-how-do-I-create-them/ta-p/42
2) Can you schedule (time of day) the motion detection per camera or for all?
= You could create modes (together with rule definition per camera as stated on #1 above) so that you could apply it on a scheduled time per day. Check this link below:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Knowledge-Base/What-are-Modes-amp-how-do-I-use-them/ta-p/32
4) Has anyone heard of an AC conversion in the works for these cameras? (Maybe 3rd party) (Something to replace with batteries with an AC plug) (If not, time for the independent engineers to design one)
= Arlo cameras are designed to used batteries. However, its a good thing you raised this question. It would be best if you raised this concern as feature request here:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Idea-Exchange/idb-p/arlo-idea-exchange
= Let me also add that there are discussions here on the Arlo community about statistics of various rechargeable batteries being used by Arlo users and it may serve as your reference as to which last longer. Check these links below:

5) Can you view live feeds of the cameras from your Mac desktop?
= Yes. Just access https://arlo.netgear.com then login using your Arlo/Netgear account credentials and you could watch the feed even on a different WAN.

Why would you ever want to buy Arlo if you wanto to connect to AC? Much better systems out there than this. Only reason I would use it is the same reason I picked VueZone...battery operated since AC isnt a choice for where my outdoor camera is located.
