There is an old thread on this if I can located it....
The old thread was someone had purchased a used system as new and he had trouble sync'ing cams.
But If IRR, the answer was non-conclusive. The cams have a mac address which syncs to the base, the cam can be switched to other bases and only sync'ed to one base at a time.
At this time I say the cams are not locked out from other bases... but let see if we can finfd the old thread.
