Can any of them be used via a mobile phones internet instead of a cable?

I want a setup for my workshop.

I no longer have a modem at my shop as i use my mobile phone as a "hot spot" for all my internet needs.

Was thinking of having a hidden pre paid mobile phone left plugged into a charger as my hot spot for internet connectivity.

Is this possible?

This will be the only thing running of that internet connection.

How much would it use if left on permanently and the system is only switched on when i go home overnight etc.

I would think it should only use data when it is being triggered by movement.

Any help is appreciated.

It won't work unless you have an Ethernet port that you can plug the base station into. A minute-long video clip in medium quality is about 3.5 to 5 MB in size. An upload bandwidth of 1 Mbit/s minimum is required. Internet data would only be used if a motion event was triggered entailing a video clip upload to the cloud. As long as it's quiet, then no Internet upload data would be used.

The only way it can be done is by connecting the Arlo base station via Ethernet to a cellular-capable router which itself is connected to a USB mobile broadband dongle.  This is how mine is set up and it works quite well.  Was pretty cheap to do it too, AU$60 for the router & dongle, AU$50 for a 12-month 6GB prepaid plan, my 7 cameras use about 500Mb/mth.

You can also take an old wireless 4-port router and connect to the Hotspot in bridge configuration (Google it), then connect ethernet from netgear base station to one of the lan ports on the bridge.
