Arlo 8mp

Any thoughts on getting better picture quality that isn't 4mp ? I notice smartphone camera recording video is nice quality and webcam too. Just wonder why arlo can't boost its specs and compact its size.

Cost, data tranfer rate, storage space, etc.?  I haven't looked in a long time but I think Arlo has as as much resolution as any other comparable systems out there.

I'd like better resolution myself but I'd think local storage would be the only realistic storage option then.  And you'd better have lots of it.

Well I was thinking that arlo would have a base system with 3tb hdd with wireless support for the camera to store it locally instead of cloud usage. The arlo q plus has sd slot to store recordings if Ethernet isn't working. So why not improve the camera spec to 8mp sensor with 1080p/4K? Just ideas since everyone wants a centra to get high details
