Does a weak signal for a camera mean that the video will be delayed or reduced quality?  Or does the wireless arlo have a memory buffer in it to record the 10 second video internally and transmit it once connection is established?  If poor connection and a decent memory buffer exists, then seems like it should store the full HD video, then transmit it over a longer period of time, but end result would still be the nice HD video without quality loss.  I couldn't find a "teardown" of the arlo to see if anyone took it apart to ID all the IC's inside.

Weak signal could cause a number of issues like you suggest.  There's no internal buffer for the video - it just streams so if there's a signal issue, the video could be short, corrupted, etc.  The Arlo Q Plus has an SD card slot so the video would be recorded there regardless of the signal but it may not fit your useage since it's an indoor camera.
