vmb3010r2 base station not finding new firmware

Hi I have a vmb3010r2 base station which has been off for a while. I turned it back on to use which was fine but I noticed that it was not making recordings. I reset the base station and I know that the firmware is out of date having version 1.6 but it never send to find new firmware. It is connected to the internet, the power and internet lights are green and I can see the base in the app. Is there a way to force an update of even download and install manually?

It should update overnight automatically although it may take a couple of days for whatever reason. I would remove the base (and any cameras attached) from Settings, My Devices. Hold the reset button until the LEDs flash amber. Use the Add Device button (web) or + (app) to claim the base. Normally an update should be noted immediately.
