changing location of camera

I would like to use this camera at a school to monitor main office and various temporary spots on the property. The school has wifi access campus wide but will the camera need to stay in range of the basestation or do I need to move the basestation every time I move the camera. Scenario- Base station set up in office and the camera located on the other side of the campus but still within a wifi hotspot range. (Same wifi as the office)

The WiFi connection between the base and camera(s) needs to be maintained since they don't share anything with any other WiFi network.  So, the answer is yes, the base would need to be moved with the camera.
