camera recorded video every minute or two regardless of any motion detected

I’ve been having trouble for quite a while where the camera recorded video every minute or two regardless of any motion detected. I’d shut the camera off for a few weeks hoping a firmware update would correct it. Tried again a few days ago & it recorded 600+ videos (most with no detectable motion) and towards the last 50 or so the videos began to get hazy / like the lens was fogged up. Then the camera went dead. Tried new batteries but it’s still dead. How do I go about getting this corrected? Camera system was purchased May 2017. Allow me to say this support site blows!
