I just bought this camera kit and it says the operating temperature is from 14F to over 100F. Will cold weather below 14F damage the camera? Will it still work?

I will return if it doesn't as we can have temps down to at least -15F.

I haven't had mine quite that cold but it worked fine in 0F weather. Note that battery life will suffer - it's just chemistry.

So it appears the camera doesn't mis-function in colder weather but the battery chemistry causes the operating problem in cold weather/

Any battery doesn't work as efficiently in cold temps. You just have to expect lesser life when cold. Not one day or one week but something shorter than in warm weather. I don't know why the cameras are spec'ed conservatively but various folks have used them in cold temps with no issue.
