I purchased the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight and would also like to upgrade my Current VMB3000 to a more current SmartHub. Am concerned whether my existing Arlo (Netgear) Cameras will work on a newer SmartHub.

Sorry . . . did not mean to select Arlo Pro. I could not find an Arlo Wire-Less (Netgear) in the drop down menu.

Any of the arlo Base stations will work with the arlo wire-free Cameras, the pro 3 floodlight cannot but you can connect directly to wifi rather than via a Base station.

If your aim is to get away without a subscription plan for the pro3 cloud recordings then read carefully the limitations for viewing access to the direct storage.

To clarify - the Pro 3 Floodlight can connect to a smarthub (VMB4540 or VMB5000) - also a VMB4000 or VMB4500 base. But not the older VMB3xxx bases.

Yes, the older cameras from the 3000 base ( arlo wirefree ) will work with the newer bases fine.
Currently running 2 of those , one on a 4000 and one on a 5000 base.

Thanks kindly for these clarifications.
The most economical approach I can suggest is to connect the pro3 floodlight Camera to the local wifi direct. Purchase a subscription plan for the pro3 floodlight Camera once the free trial subscription ends.(Starts when it first gets connected)
The existing cameras and base station remains unchanged so you still get the free 7days cloud library on those.
If your afraid, like me to hand over your credit card then you will need to fork out for a VMB4540/5000 Base and a storage device just to have viewing access to your recordings via a half arsed workaround which should have been properly implemented.
