In order to get a good response from the original Arlo HD cameras... placement is very important.

Make sure the person moves across the field of view as opposed to straight on is the most important.

I originally had a camera facing out from my door and ended moving it away to face the door... person coming in sets it off and then I get a good pic at the door and leaving.
