Ever since I updated my arlo system some time ago I noticed my videos that are older than a month are being automatically deleted? I: when I go into my library I only see videos from, say March and February, but what happened to my videos from previous months? It won't even let me back track for more than 1 month. Also before the update I used to be able to see how much memory I had used now I can't even find that anymore. Thanks for any help.

Standard plan. And I'm taking about maybe 2 or 3 videos saved per month. Not like I used the full storage allowance.

First, the Basic plan only stores videos for 7 days... On day #8, the vids from day #1 are deleted.

There is no longer a recycle bin nor a memory usage gauge since Jan 2016...

If you videos have been stored longer than 7 days on a Basic plan , just consdier yourself lucky, cause it's a glich in your favor.

Remember any thing you think you may want to d/l to you local computer before the 7 day limit.

Thanks for the response.. so what is the point of saving a video if it's going to get deleted after a week anyway? I thought as long as you didn't go over the X amount of gigabytes that you're allowed per month your videos wouldn't get deleted.

Space isn't the issue at the moment. You get free 7 day storage when other competing companies charge - your choice. It's stated right up from that you get 7 day storage of videos. I download every one of them using a script that runs daily so there's never an issue. Proactively downloading important videos is your best bet, regardless of camera choice.

if having all your videos available for unlimited time without downloading them is critical/important to you, you should be able to accomplish this by buying an Arlo Pro base station, because it allows you to connect a usb thumb or external drive to it and record to it.  Keep in mind though to view these you would have to remove the drive from base station and connect to a computer

Are you confusing marking a video as a favourite with saving a video? You can't save a video. You can download it to your device though if you want to keep it

Would you mind sharing that script that you use to do it automatically? Thanks in advance!

I copied/modified the script into two.

The first one I modified to run for previous day's recordings, and I manually run it when I get up in the morning.

The second one , for current date, I have the windows scheduler to run hourly, so I'm quite complete with recordings on my local computer.

I also modified the script to show the cam name after the time/date in the file name because in the list of recordings when is more important than where.

Others might find similar useful; for others just adding email/pw might be enough.

The script that changes the recording from EPOCH time to "real" time/date rocks.

Thanks for sharing a great script
