I have 4 Arlo Pro cameras that were removed from a house that we sold, I'd like to install them in another building on my property, but it's too far away from my current base to make it work.  There's no great/secure location in the other building to add a second base, and I don't have wired ethernet there.

I think my best option would be to add 4 Pro 4 cameras because they can use Wifi only, correct?  I can easily extend my wifi network to the other building with a mesh AP that I use on the property.

What capabilities do I lose using the Pro 4 via Wifi only versus the Pro units with a base station?  Does anyone see any issues with my plan?

Thanks!

You lose the ability to store the recordings (which requires a base).  You'd also lose the ability to purchase the CVR subscription for the Pro 4s (which also requires a base).

You can't control all the cameras together as easily (since each Pro 4 camera will have its own modes, schedule, and geofencing).

And you will need a paid subscription for cloud recording with the Pro 4s.
