I have everything set up, cameras can be viewed live, get motion alerts, can remotely turn camera on and off and such. All filters have green check, and it's set to 10 seconds. However nothing is recording.

Try and power cycle the base.

Bango, that's it. After I did a hard restart, it asked me to update firmware on my cameras and then presto.
