VMS3230: need for router???

[FVR]

I purchased this because it had a Netgear "base station"; I wanted to avoid a "router" hookup.

I need a router????  I just want to hook up the system to my PC.

Shall I return it??

You can not just hook it to your PC....the base needs an Ethernet port to access the Internet.

usu the port is off your router/ wifi unit.

As to returning it.... You can give a friend a gift. 😀
