 I currently have an Arlo Q camera that I use via my smartphone and laptop.  I bought a Arlo VMC3030 wishing to add to the existing app.  My question is can I add the Arlo wire free camera to my existing

Yes, you can add it to the app...BUT...

 

The Q runs directly to your home wifi...

 

The Arlos run their own wifi system ( from the base unit ) that talks only to the camera...it connects via ethernet cable to your router/switch.

 

Both sets will appear in the same program, BUT will be their own system.... Meaning that each will have their own ARMING, schedules, etc.

No, The base unit is needed for Arlo and Arlo Pro cameras....

 

The bases setup a wifi system to talk ONLY to the Arlo / Arlo Pro cams...Nothing else can link into the base.

 

The Q cameras talk directly to your home wifi setup.
