VMC3030-100NAS trying to maximize battery life

Is it best to disable the cameras when not in use, or schedule a program on/off? I feel that when they are disabled they use less power than being in a scheduled mode. Is there any difference in power saving between the two options?

Using the On/Off slider in Settings or using the schedule or Disarmed mode makes no real difference - the camera is in a sleep mode that uses very little power (if set this way permanently the batteries will last well over half a year).  Only live view or detection/recording will use significant power.
