VMC-3030 motion detector not working and rapid battery drain

Had my system a few years consists of VMB4000r3, light, pro2 and VMC3030. The latter started rapidly draining cr123 batteries, so bought rechargeables. Drained standard batteries in less than an hour, same rapid drain with new recharge batteries. Noticed also motion detect not functioning. Tried factory reset with sync button, tried removing and reinstalling to app, still same. No firmware updates, camera appears to be unserviceable, can it be sent back for testing, refurb or replacement?

While the reset FAQ mentions these cameras, it actually doesn't have any effect on them. A "reset" is simply opening and closing the battery door.
There's no repair/replacement possible with these cameras. You may be able to find a used replacement but it may be better to get a new model. Be aware that a new one requires a subscription for cloud recordings.
