My base station is no longer working. Tried to buy a new base station at Best Buy ...was told they dont sell. Do I have to throw all out and start again? I have 4 cameras.

You can buy directly from Arlo:

https://www.arlo.com/en-us/accessories?prefn1=refinementType&prefv1=SmartHubs

Other vendors carry them (BestBuy lists them as sold out). A search on the Internet should find them but be aware that only authorized resellers (NOT eBay!) provide warranty coverage.

I like the VMB4540 for the lower cost and use of any USB drive for local recordings, if that matters to you.

I am in Canada and cant buy direct from Arlo... Amazon.ca prime does not carry the VMB 4540. I need a fast solution as I leave in a few days. Will any hub do ?

Since you mention the VMC3030 cameras, any base station or hub will work:

If you end up buying used, make sure it has been removed from the previous owner's account first or you'll be stuck with a device that can't be added to your account.

Lost my original discussion thread..SO here's the current status.

Netgear VMB 3000 cant be discovered in my house. When I plug in I see power button only . no interenet light. Have done everything .. Reset, unplug/replug, different ethernet cable  etc.. Last suggestion was to test in somebody else's house... It WORKED....

My internet provider is asking if possibly a new compatibility issue may have arisen between their router and my base ... They cant figure it out . Router is ZYXEL EMG 6726-B10A.

It worked before, but because of  internet TV issues I unplugged the base hub.

 I am in Canada.

Since it worked elsewhere, it's a problem with the router. The lack of Internet light means there's no connection between the base and router. Have you tried rebooting the router as well as using a different port on the router?

If you have an ethernet switch, you can try putting it between the router and the base.

Ok thanks.. My internet provider found something (after a long time working with it ...) he was able to change in settings in the router.. and it is now working.

Interesting, there are 3 lights on ... power, internet and camera.... all solid yellow but system appears to be working ... rather slow,  but working . Thanks all.
