I've got my first camera up, watching the entry foyer.   It's a U-shaped area, partly shaded by the covered walkway.   Even though the camera is under the eaves and also shaded, it has a hard time seeing into the walkway during daytime.

Any suggestions?    I've played with the brightness settings a bit, but they didn't seem to help much.    (Oddly, the Ring doorbell has the exact opposite problem - it can't see anything behind the shade as it's all blown out).

RedwolfTX,

It looks like the issue may be lack of available light in the area you are trying to view. Consider relocating the camera or adding an additional light source.

I don't think adding light would be possible since it's a daylight shot. However, I'd definitely rotate the ca mera down which would 1) reduce the view to only the area of concern and 2) would reduce the portion of the view that's brightly lit so the exposure mechanism will brijghten the shadows. The contrast ratio is killing you.
