@BrookeN

Every morning (since the latest firmware update 6.6.0_6060002 on 11/11/2025) when I go into the Arlo app and have done nothing but open the app, five of my eight cameras show an image that was just taken with "just now" in the upper left of the frame and three cameras show only a black image (with no "just now") although, if you tap the black image then those three show the last image taken but will revert back to the black image when you go back to "Dashboard" or "Devices". Note that when go to the app in the morning, the app is in "Arm Home" after being in "Standby" all night.

Three of the five cameras, which show the "just now" image, are active in "Arm Home" but two of the five are only active in "Arm Away" which happens when both phones are outside the geofencing zone and that was about two weeks ago.

Of my three cameras that are only active in "Arm Away" (one is black, two show the "just now" image) and when I tap the image to show the list of video clips, the two that have the "just now" image show 10 second "motion" video clips taken when I went into the app and the one with the black image shows the last video clip from two weeks prior, when in "Arm Away".

Two of the three that show the black image are cameras are active in "Standby" & "Arm Away" and when I tap on the black image they show, in the list, the last image taken during "Standby" and not the 10 second "motion" clip.

The three cameras that are active in "Arm Home" (also included an all modes) and show the image with "just now", taken when I first went into the app, do not show a 10 second "motion" video, with the time corresponding to the time I opened the app, in the list of video clips.

At the time I'm seeing all of this unexplained behavior, and I do nothing in the app (live stream, play video clips, etc.) then go to the web portal, everything in the web portal is as it should be unlike the app.

Logging out of the app and back in does nothing to resolve this and the three cameras that are in "Arm Home" will show the correct images when triggered by motion and continue to do so, and if I live stream the remaining five cameras (with the "just now" or black image) they will display the live stream image as the last one taken.

A few days ago, I decided to reinstall the app and thought all was well until the next morning when I went into the app and found the same issue.

    Can you please update to 6.17 and let me know if the behavior you are seeing has been resolved. Thank you.

Two new issues have come up on the app since I received 6.18 last night...everything worked just fine yesterday on 6.17

First pic...when trying to live stream while motion has triggered a recording, I now get the message about the camera being in use. Never had that before today...also happens on the web portal.
When you receive a notification and the camera's still recording, you need to be able to go to live view so you can see what's going on without waiting for the recording to finish. This isn't good at all!

Second pic...after live streaming, the frame does not display "just now" but, as you can see, displays something that was previously live streamed. This does not happen on the web portal, which I believe is where the 5 hour old images came from that were live streamed on the web portal this morning.

Third pic...shows the notification message on the web portal.

Very frustrating that when one issue gets fixed, it seems to create another one (or two).

Here's what Feed looked like this morning. Finally showed after toggling back and forth from Devices to Feed a couple of times.

I wonder if it was a server issue. I'm on the beta app 6.19 and this morning had the same issue. I force closed the app and Feed worked properly when I reopened it.

@jguerdat
Did you see the post I did on 03/10 about the Feed issue on the web portal?... Re: Issue With "Feed" on Web Portal - Arlo Community

@KachinaShadow I did but had nothing to add. I can't say that the web client has had many issues for me and my app has been behaving since that first morning.

Well all I can say & agree is that you fix one thing and 3+ other problems show up. Finally the blurred views, etc have disappeared and now a whole host of other problems.  Bring up the camera's, do a live view, stop the live view and a previous view from 5 days appears. One camera will have 5 days, one with have 10 days ago, another 18 days ago. But never the live view you just looked at.  And those views have been deleted many days ago.

You open an app on one system and all the camera's come up, do a view of recent activity on one camera and when you close that out the system will then say "off line".  Close the app and then reopen, all camera's are on line again.  And it just continues to do this over and over and over again.

We have rebooted, reset, turn everything off and back on, re-synced the camera's, etc., etc., etc., etc.  I have no religion left...  Of all the tech things we have and do use, this arlo system is by far the worst thing we ever had to deal with.

@BrookeN
In another post you mentioned the app had been updated to 6.20 (although that post had to do with only the web portal and seems to now be resolved) so I thought I would check to see if 6.20 had resolved or changed the issues shown in Message 76 of this post.
What I found is that on the app you are now able to live stream while a motion triggered recording is in progress 👍, but on the web portal you still receive the message that "live streaming is currently in use by another device", as shown in the third pic of Message 76...oddly  enough, on the web portal, you are able to live stream the video doorbell but not the four other cameras 🤔
Also note that when you're done live streaming (with no motion triggered recording in progress), the app image reverts back to an old still image (anywhere from minutes to hours old) while, when done live streaming the web portal (also with no motion triggered recording in progress) the still image it displays is the "just now" image...the web portal has always been ok in that respect, while the app, since 6.18, has not been.
