Do I understand this correctly? The package I purchased contains four Arlo cameras and two Arlo Q cameras. Total six cameras. If I want to run all six cameras I have to subscribe to an additional service.

No... check the packaging .....the 6 pack kit , TMK, has a special code to allow all 6 cameras on the Basic ( free ) level
