I have different generations. I pay a monthly fee. I spend hours keeping them functioning. They either have charging issues or, for the older units, battery issues. I understand that the older units will cease to function but fighting the new units is nonsense. After charging, they will not join the network. Sometimes the camera records and sometimes they do not. I delete them and rejoin which requires granting access. The Essentials are now causing issues. It is charged but is not seen on network.  I removed device and now I can't  rejoin the device to the network. This is constant. The products are expensive. I pay monthly.  It seems silly at this point to play the role as IT person just to keep a camera on the network. Although, I have too much invested, I want to scrap the system and find a product that requires less maintenance and works when I need it.

Hi @SB12345

Thank you for your feedback. To help troubleshoot, could you please provide more details about the symptoms with each device, including the model and, if possible, the serial number (you can PM these for privacy)?

  • Network reconnection issues after charging
    • Which models are affected?
    • Do they appear offline or lose the saved network name/password?
    • Is your Wi-Fi security set to WPA2 only, or a mixed WPA2/3 mode?

  • Inconsistent recording
    • Has this issue always been present, or did it start recently?
    • Have any devices been moved, relocated, or had their sensitivity settings adjusted?
    • Are they missing motion events that were previously captured?

I realize some of these questions may feel repetitive, but they help us narrow down the cause. If you’d prefer not to go through this back and forth, I can also escalate your case directly to the appropriate team.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your reply.
