A frequent issue is pressing the sync button on the base too long. Just do it briefly. If that doesn't help, open and close the battery door and verify that the batteries are in correctly. Finally, if all else fails, use the reset button on the base until the LEDs flash amber. remove all devices in Settings, My Devices and then use the Add Device button on the Devices tab to add the base back in. Sync the cameras, remembering to only briefly press the sync button.
If all that doesn't work, the fastest thinng to do is to swap at the store for another system. If not possible, you'll have to open a case by contacting support at https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx
