Since updating to 2.6.0 connecting to my Arlo cameras has become unbearably slow. First it takes forever for the recording to show up in the library, if it ever does. So if I try to go live it takes forever to show a
Live feed. Really makes the cameras quite useless for me since I want to use it to monitor activity in my driveway or around my home when away.

What is your internet up/down load speed as reported by speedtest.net?

Usually between 10-15Mbps download and 5-8Mbps upload.  Right now it's 12 down and 6 up.  So yea...slow by 21st century standards but I live in a rural area where a broadband service provider is our best option.

That should be enough speed.

Try and see if it's the same when using the web interface

If it's better then try and re-install the app. If not then try a restart of the base.

Restarting the base seems to have helped a little.  It's still slower than the previous version but at least more usable now. THanks.

Tried to redo everything and internet is fast. Nothing helps.

Hey Sylverjim,

Make sure you have the latest version of the Arlo app, which is version 2.7.10 for iOS or version 2.7.11 for Android. Is this happening on both on your Arlo app on your phone device and the web client on your computer? On your phone device, have you tried checking when connected to your WiFi and/or cellular data?

Have you also tried the steps that Streak2 provided above? And try to reboot your Base Station if you're still having problems.

same issue...

it takes about 20-30 seconds to load on my phone... just long enough for the FedEx guy to leave without leaving my boxes 🙂

also, the batteries lasted just under 30 days... really?  at $12.99 for two, i'm going to go broke.

slow.. and expensive...   rethinking my choice... UNLESS YOU CAN HELP ME!!!

Hi wolfecallendar,

Make sure that you have the latest Arlo app version on your Android device or iOS device. And try testing if this is happening when you're on WiFi and/or cellular data. If you already have the latest app version, try to log out of the app, uninstall the app, reboot your phone device, and reinstall the app.

And if your batteries are only lasting within 30 days, feel free to read this article to learn how to extend your battery life: How can I extend my Arlo camera's battery life?

I bought the arlo recommended rechargable batteries.  They're expensive but cheaper over time than buying batteries over and over.  Mine is slower than I'd like but better with the last couple updates I've downloaded.
