just wondering should I leave the arlo base turn on when not going to be used for a few day's?

no harm in leaving it on, I would turn off the cameras to save on battery power if you are not going to use the system at the very least .

PS: if you turn off the base, BUT leave the cameras with batteries installed, the batteries will drain in a week or so... the cameras will keep trying to connect and drain batteries faster
