Setting start and stop times

How does a person set the start and stop times. I changed the times but it will not let me save it and it goes back to the default of 08:00am too 5:00pm

Sounds like you're trying to get a time that starts before midnight and ends after. Start with the before midnight one and end it at 11:59PM.  Then set another starting at 12:00AM and ends when you want.
