In the past, I have been able to log in with my wife's old phone without sending the 2FA code to my phone.  Now that she has a new phone we are unable to get her phone automatically trusted. Even though I added her new device as a trusted device it still says it's an unrecognized device. Under 2FA settings I can only have 1 of the listed devices with a checkmark by it. If I try to select her phone also, it removes the check from my phone.

The trusted device list seems to be broken and not being used properly. My PC browser is also on the list of trusted devices and yet I always get the unrecognized device when I log in. I also get the message to trust this browser and saying yes doesn't make a difference. The main issue is my wife's phone but it makes no sense for there to be a trusted device list that seems to get ignored when you try to log in.

I've seen several topics of this issue and if Arlo can not fix this issue in almost 2 years please let us turn off 2FA.

The pc browser that access the arlo web portal is meant to be trusted for 14 days but my experience is that only lasts until I turn off the pc at the end of the day. Some have suggested that they can get up to 10 days and others suggest keeping the browser open and hibernating the pc rather than shutting down.

You’re only allowed one method or device to be able to approve the 2FA request but you should be able to trust another device to be able to login.
On your partner’s new phone are you using your primary account credentials or has it been friended using her account that would require her to trust the device?
