I was needing a recommendation for a good router for service we have spectrum service we have a Netgear nighthawk and spectrum is telling us it's not compatible

You're in the wrong place - this is Arlo which has nothing to do with Netgear.

 

FWIW, I've only used Netgear Nighthawks for years on Spectrum/Road Runner. Are you sure it's the router that's not compatible or your modem? Some routers have built-in modems so that could be the issue. Zoom over to netgear.com and ask there.
