Reset time between events

How long does it take for the cameras to reset after a motion event. For example , if the camera records for 30 seconds and then stops recording, how long before it is ready to detect motion and record again? It does not seem to be instantly with my system. @JamesC any idea?

After a trigger event I see about a 20 second reset time... it can be as long as one min.
