Midway through setup I had to stop and turn off the base. Arlo is not recognizing my email. Should I start over and do a factory reset on the base?

Yes, you can perform a factory reset on your base station.
Press and hold the reset hole using a paper clip or pen or pin for 10 seconds while the device is plugged in. The base station LEDs will go from green to amber. Allow the base station to come back online with a solid green power and internet LED and try again.
When going through New System Setup, be sure the device you are using is on the same network as the base station. If you are using your phone to set up a the system, please temporarily disable the data on your phone.
