Why won't the batteries charge if USB is plugged into a high quality Ext cord?? Every 24 hrs, we hav to take our cameras down & plug into an outlet. Nothing tells the neighborhood "we have hidden cameras & now everyone knows!" Totally rediculous. Also If the sun is hot, they stop working. If you install w/in 3' of ANYTHING,at night they will not record except what is w/I 3 feet. All be it the house, a plant, a table. I'm so disappointed after spending $500.

Obviously you're not using a genuine Arlo cable so obviously YMMV. Please confirm you are using the supplied power adapter and not some 3rd party USB power source
