The paperwork received at the time of purchase states "WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND using primary non rechargable batteries.  Should this information be updated since your "Tenergy Rechargable Batteries" have been released or should I still use Panasonic, Energizer or Duracell as originally advised?

Yes that is outdated, and should be updated.

In fact Netgear has certified and recommends the Tenergy 3.7 gold colored rechargeables.
