As I dig deeper into the changes made today with the ARLO System, I have to ask several more "WHY's"?

Why does the new "Library" contain a calendar that sprawls across the entire screen (instead of the compact calendar that used to be on the left side of the screen)?  It is harder to read and takes up too much space on the screen.

Why does the user have to go to the Library to find a time stamp (but still no date stamp) for the "snapshots"? That seems to be an extra step that we did not have to take with the earlier ARLO version, which had a time AND date stamp for every camera on the front page.

Plzhelp,

The changes made to the Arlo UI were done to streamline the interface with a new design not only to enhance and add features but to make it more user friendly and intuitive. Take a look at this article that defines the changes provided with the update: New Arlo App: A Quick Guide to New Features

Thank you for responding...however, ARLO's sudden, unannounced changes are anything BUT intuitive and easier to use.  Major features were taken away, like the recycle bin.  There is a time stamp, but not a date stamp that is buried in the Library instead of prominiently displayed, as before, on the front camera page.  The "hours ago" that now appears on the lower left of the snapshots on the camera page is not real time...you must toggle to the Library or to another function and toggle back to the camera page to have it update. And what good is it when it leaves the user with having to do the calculation of WHEN that camera was last activated.

The icons are much smaller and in a monochromatic black/gray instead of the more easily viewed green / gray of the past.  This is not easier to use for your sight-challenged or elderly customers.

I know its your job to spin this....good luck with that. ARLO should have user-tested these changes before inflicting them on customers who have paid good money for a system that is now less useful.  As a former IT professional, I know that change can be difficult for end-users, but it is easier to swallow if there is BENEFIT.

ARLO fell short on this one.
