Have a Arlo Pro VMB4000, which apparently isn't a selection allowed here when choosing your topic. I installed an 8gb flash drive via USB. Formatted it. Pulled it today to review. There are tons of .mp4 files, none contain video. There is only audio. Any clue what is wrong?

first time with this that I know of....

Reset the base via the power button and then reformat the flash drive ( make sure it's in fat32 )

Also check that it is recording to library too ( you didn' mention that ).

VLC didn't work, neither did real player (I'm on a MAC by the way). After fiddling with graphics options and making a few coding adjustments in the background, I did finally get VLC to work. With that being said, an MP4 file should play regardless of the player. It's weird that quicktime and realplayer won't play these files and VLC will only play if you have everything set just right. I would call this issue partially resolved, not fully.

Glad you got it working

Do you mind describing the process you needed to go through to get it to work? It might be helpful for future people who have the same issue

I'm hesitant to tell people how to modify base code, it doesn't take much to do significant damage. I would saw playing with graphics resolution may resolve the majority of the issues.
