Not recording motion when smart notifications are turned on

When I turn on smart notifications, the camera stops detecting and recording motion. The cameras will only record and store video when a person (my push notification settings) is detected. I want a push notification if a person is detected, but I want all motion recorded and stored in the library.

Have you tired to reboot the base station or reboot the camera by opening & closing the battery door?

Yes. I have. I even deleted and reinstalled the base and all cameras. Replaced all batteries. The cameras are only recording and storing motion if the specific trigger is selected as a smart notification.
