Can I use a Netgear powered Ethernet switch (5 port) to add a port?

Don't see why not since the bases have MAC addresses for packet switching

Netgear will have to confirm as it's above my pay grade 🙂

Good afternoon thusband,

Yes, you should be able to install your base station and connect to an open port on your NETGEAR switch. For good measure, I just tested this and it connected to the data center as expected.

One thing to note: the base station does not support POE (power over Ethernet) at this time so you would still need to plug the base station into a power outlet.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,

Christine
